Accordion, voice and sax
This group was born in 2019 at the initiative of both musicians from Vitoria. De La Puente and Setuaín were in their hometown after having developed their professional and academic activity on the European continent. After having shared the stage in various projects with each of these instruments and their interest in exploring new sound territories led to the creation of this trio.
Akartia Trio draws on the experience that its members have in the field of chamber music. Furthermore, the lack of original works has been a motivation to create their repertoire and promote the field of contemporary music. To do this, they carry out research and visibility work collaborating with different composers and showing them the variety of timbre that this training offers. Through its commissions, Akartia Trio promotes a repertoire for voice, accordion, and saxophone, thus enriching the current contemporary scene.
